Tumescent Liposuction
Tumescent liposuction was developed to reduce excess localized fat deposits in a gentler manner than traditional liposuction. It can reduce postoperative swelling and bruising and minimizes blood loss during the procedure.
Prior to tumescent liposuction, the area to be treated is injected with warmed anesthetic liquid, which causes fat to become swollen and firm. This added step allows for a more precise treatment with smoother results and less postoperative pain due to the lingering effects of the anesthetic.
Patients do not need general anesthesia, which reduces risk and cost. A thinner suctiontube minimizes trauma, incision size and scarring. Afterwards you’ll be able to walk out of the office and be back to your normal routine in a few days.
Areas that typically respond well to treatment include the neck and jowls, arms, abdomen, buttocks, hips, inner and outer thighs, knees, legs, flanks, and enlarged male breasts
Patients can usually see an immediate improvement with the full benefits noticeable in about three months.
